Project Description
Brian is a theoretical physicist with a knack for explaining mind bending things in everyday language. His books cover the science of extremely big things, like the shape of time and space, and how gravity works as well as extremely small things like particle physics, the behavior of atoms. He also explained that these two branches of science work really well on their own, but they don’t mesh together, not yet. But he thinks there is a theory that would resolve this conundrum, called string theory. String theory suggests that everything in the universe is made up of impossibly tiny, quivering strings of energy. Brian is the co-founder of the World Science Festival which takes place in New York and Brisbane.
